Green Caribbean Amber
This green amber is mined in the Caribbean Sea area and is derived from ancient tree resins relative to current tropical trees called algarroba (type of bean) . Its age is ranging between 20 to 40 million years. The color is pale yellow-green with not perfect coloring and it is natural. In the market the so called “green amber” in very vivid green colors that look like peridot or emerald are just the result of thermal processing both in amber or fossils (copals) from various locations.
